About this workshop: The purpose of this workshop is to convene researchers and practitioners to engage in discussions on the latest developments in international macroeconomics and finance, with particular relevance to Macao. The workshop will focus on critical issues such as global capital flows, exchange rate dynamics, the impact of monetary and fiscal policy spillovers, financial stability, and the formation of beliefs by private agents and policymakers. By providing a platform for the exchange of cutting-edge ideas and evidence-based insights, the workshop aims to enhance our understanding of the forces driving the global economy and to inform policy strategies that address both present and future challenges in international macroeconomics and finance, with a special emphasis on Macao’s role in the broader global financial system.
